I am not in Rhode Island this weekend. I thought about seeing the Struggling Newport fest gets less folky (Boston Globe article) but it seemed too expensive and possibly frustrating.
There is an online project of people covering Magnetic Fields songs. I haven't heard them all, but the version of The Luckiest Guy on the Lower East Side by Get Him Eat Him is pretty OK.
