current events, micro version

Here I will tell you some things I have been up to.

I saw Spiderman 2. I thought it was good. Even though I find Tobey Maguire wimpish. I guess I can't imagine liking a non-wimpy Peter Parker fellow, so maybe this is alright. I like the Xmen movies more, but I think there are some comic book movies coming out these days that are better than the ones that came when I was younger.

I got some mail at my parents' home. I got a cd by this band One Ring Zero, featuring lyrics by authors like Paul Auster, Jonathan Lethem, Dave Eggers, Daniel Handler.

I learned that a new book in A Series of Unfortunate Events is coming out in September. There is a movie about the first three books coming out later.

I also got the newest McSweeneys in the mail. It makes me want to read more of some of these graphic novel things.

Spencer Tweedy is the highlighted child in this month's Believer.

I have been listening several times to the A.C. Newman cd. He is the guy from the New Pornographers.

My mother purchased me some food, including meatless riblets.

We went to the Harborfields Public Library, where I have borrowed many books. I purchased a portfolio of old photo prints for $2 at the book stall.

Thursday I will go back to the city. I think I will try to make it out to Celebrate Brooklyn.
