Sounds like there are some interesting extras in the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory dvd.

there is going to be a Bee Season movie coming out next week. They changed a bunch of things (inventing a reason for Kate Bosworth to be in the movie, moving the setting) and casted Richard Gere and Juliette Binoche as the parents. Maybe people will like it; I'm not sure.

congratulations paula

Paula Radcliffe, the english girl with the funny running style, won the NYC marathon yesterday. I saw some of the marathon as the runners went up 1st avenue. I like to see the people who are really running but the walkers just look lame. And that is why I will probably never attempt a marathon.

While walking to the supermarket, I noticed some young people hanging around the fringe of the marathon watching areas. They were wearing t-shirts and signs saying "not my mandate." That's fine, but I can't get too excited about it. I think these people need to stop complaining and do some work to improve things and convince more americans that gay marriage isn't going to corrupt the nation's children.

There is a new book of short stories by Jonathan Lethem out now. I ordered my copy. It was reviewed in the NY Times by Jay McInerney, who seems like a jerk.
