Robyn Hitchcock Looks 'Backwards' With Boxed Set

Early recordings and previously unreleased material from Robyn Hitchcock will be packed in the five-disc boxed set "I Wanna Go Backwards," due Oct. 16 via Yep Roc.

A compilation of B-sides, demos and alternate takes, many of them previously unreleased, are assembled on the double-disc "While Thatcher Mauled Britain Part 1& 2." The British songwriter's 1981 debut, "Black Snake Diamond Role," 1984's "I Often Dream of Trains" and 1990's "Eye" will also be included in the box with bonus tracks and new liner notes penned by Hitchcock.

And there's another one coming in 2008. I'm excited for these...
