Runaways

Runaways was on the reading list for my YA literature class. I read the first 2 trade paperback collections. I don't really see mass appeal for these books, but they seem to be getting some praise nevertheless. I wonder if this is the kind of thing that wannabe teenagers like more than real teenagers do, but I could be wrong. I guess Brian K Vaughan is a big deal in the comics world, but this series seems more like the product of market research than someone's inspiration. After looking at BKV's site, this upcoming project looks intriguing. But I think I find reading about comics-comics maybe a bit more interesting than reading the comics themselves.
