Now that I can deal with looking at the computer, I can put links again. I wonder if anyone missed them.
more "Cribs" from Joe Pernice
Check out some art from Eric Chase Andersonfrom the web archive. I purchased ECA's "novel with maps", Chuck Dugan is AWOL; the drawings are predictably neat, but I'm not sure how into the narrative I am. I was reminded of all of this while watching the extras on the Life Aquatic DVD. Similarly to the Lemony Snicket movie, I'm less than convinced that either movie was *super good* but I like the people who made the movies and found the making of parts pretty interesting. The Zissou DVD is pretty neat with the extra Seu Jorge stuff. The Seu Jorge site seems to be available only in Portugese currently, but I think he is playing shows in NY in either August or September.
Here's the official Zissou site. And the IMDB page.
Downloaded a new Vic Chesnutt iTunes ep, with an apple-censored track title. Apparently apple isn't cool with a song with "Would you sign my ipod??" as the title.
hey, a new Devendra album is coming out. I wonder if it will be listenable or not.
two articles about Spoon.
Some info about the Iron and Wine/Calexico collaboration
The Daily Iowan explains that Malkmus has been "putting out records for close to a decade". Congratulations to the only article ever that has ever mentioned Malkmus and not mentioned Pavement. go, naive college kid!
An Edward Gorey praise article. Kind of over the top, but not bad to see. With a bunch of links on USA Today online.
