Radar Bros, Faun Fables

Last night we celebrated Earth Day by going down to the mercury lounge to see Radar Brothers. We got there before the RBs set, so we experienced Faun Fables. Faun Fables is in the whole Joanna Newsom, Devendara type of scene. They looked high school drama table-esque. If you click to their website you will get the idea. The guy playing with Dawn (who herself looks like the somewhat crazy 10th grader every high school has) looked like an Amish goat. They sounded better than they looked, but I'm just not that into hobbit music.

Radar Brothers sounded really good. I like their brand of slowcore. Unfortunately, they started a bit too late for my awakeness-challenged companion, so we didn't see the whole set. i would say the new songs sounded pretty good, but if you don't have And the Surrounding Mountains, buy it.

No school for a few days. This is good.
