Spinning 7 inches

I have a pile of 7 inch records at my apartment. I think I will try and play them a bit more often. I will try to post the results here.

Here are some I've played tonight

Built to Spill b/w Marine Research
I enjoyed the Marine Research side of this record, so I think I will try and track down some more of their stuff. I don't always find female vocals that I like, but these were good.

The Ponys: Wicked City
This is some fun garage rock stuff that is good for dancing in private.

Arcade Fire: Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)
This is kind of grand sounding. Their first album isn't out until September.

Microphones: Lanterns
I like the "Antlers" side of this record better. Actually, both sides are somewhat too plodding.

Bonnie Prince Billy: Let's Start a Family
I want rural america to be this, instead of walmarts.

Mirah: Cold Cold Water
This song is somewhat dramatic, the album art is spaghetti western and right on. You should like any song that takes up both sides of a 7".

Lambchop: Soaky in the Pooper
Kurt Wagner is masterful with details.
